Fugawi
used by Spirit of Canada

|
Fugawi has been chosen as the primary navigation system for
Spirit of Canada, Derek Hatfield's entry in the Round Alone
race. Round Alone is the longest race on earth for any individual
in any sport. Formerly the BOC Challenge, the Around Alone course
spans some 28,755 miles of the world's roughest and most remote
oceans. It is a gruelling single-handed sailing race, one of
the most difficult and dangerous ever conceived where competitors
pit themselves and their craft against the elements, alone,
and where the finish line is literally a world away. Fugawi
will enable Derek to plot his course digitally for the entire
voyage and view his progress in real time. |

Fugawi
Used for Corn Maze Creation

|
Frank
Boynton of Navtech
Seminars & GPS Supply describes how Fugawi allowed a
maker of a corn maze to reduce the time required to design and
create a maze from 280 hours to 21 hours. The image of the complicated
maze shown above was geo-referenced with Fugawi, and a GPS-equipped
mower traced out the design guided by Fugawi.
