Software Now Offers Built-In Access to Over 25,000 TORONTO — Northport Systems, Inc., a leader in GPS mapping software and innovative GPS applications, announced today that it has teamed up with MPC™ Network, Inc. to offer a comprehensive library of marine services in its popular Fugawi Marine ENC™ software. With this latest enhancement, Fugawi customers will continue to receive all of the advanced navigation features of the ENC software, which now supports over 450 NOAA ENC® coastal water and iENC inland waterway vector charts, as well as the added ability to toggle on/off a layer of over 25,000 marine-related points of interest (POIs) from the integrated MPC Boaters Directory: the most comprehensive directory of marine businesses in the USA. The Fugawi Marine ENC software’s new comprehensive directory of marine services includes information on fueling locations, launching sites, marinas, moorings and ports, restaurants, boating equipment, maintenance and repairs, storage, electronics, fishing bait & tackle, boat dealers, and much more. For easy visual identification and access the software plots each service on top of the official NOAA ENC® nautical charts. Users can then click on any service to see POI details such as address, phone, fax and email.
