This innovative, new outdoor recreation software is the latest in the company’s line of pc-based mapping solutions - replacing its successful Fugawi 3 GPS Mapping Software. Fugawi Global Navigator GPS navigation software supports a wide variety of free-of-charge and commercial maps and charts, including the Fugawi Map of America topographic map series of the USA, RNC, Softchart, and BSB (MAPTECH®, NDI DigitalOcean®) format nautical charts, ECW, DRG, GeoTiff, eTopo, SoftMap or even your own scanned and referenced paper map. Fugawi Global Navigator also includes PDA editions for both the Pocket PC and Palm platform. The most exciting new feature of the Fugawi Global Navigator is its 3D map view, which enables viewing of any Fugawi compatible raster map, air photo or satellite image in stunning 3D. The 3D feature is ideal for outdoor 4-wheeling, hiking, mountain biking, or other outdoor adventure. Fugawi Global Navigator also sports an innovative ‘fly-through’ mode, which allows users to fly across a vivid 3D landscape, and when connected to a third-party GPS device the software displays accurate location positioning in both 2D and 3D modes. Additional features of Fugawi Global Navigator include detailed street maps of the entire US; millions of Points-of-Interest/Place Names, all of which are searchable and can be overlaid on any compatible map; an intuitive chart installation and map organization process; and enhanced Fugawi PDA Edition software for the Pocket PC and Palm platform (OS 5 or greater) enabling the transfer of any Fugawi compatible map to a PDA. Users can also connect a compatible third-party GPS receiver to their handheld device and enjoy accurate route finding directly on the map in the palm of their hand.
