FUGAWI SOFTWARE ENGAGES NEW U.K. / IRELAND DISTRIBUTOR

SM Group (Europe) Ltd to Distribute Premium Fugawi Marine ENC Software

Toronto, Ontario – Fugawi Software (Northport Systems Inc.) announced today the addition of SM Group (Europe) Ltd. to its growing international distribution network. Effective immediately, SM Group will distribute and provide marketing and technical support for Fugawi Marine ENC software to the U.K and Ireland marine electronics dealer network.

Ideal for boaters who require ultimate flexibility when planning excursions or during real-time navigation, Fugawi allows seamless upload and download of routes and waypoints to Navionics compatible chart plotters and handheld GPS receivers, available from Northstar, Raymarine, Humminbird, Garmin, Magellan, Lowrance, Eagle and more.

In addition to existing support for S-57 and BSB format charts, Fugawi Marine ENC now offers full compatibility with existing Navionics® Gold+, Gold, Silver and HotMaps® charts. This new functionality allows boaters to use a PC at the helm or below deck for planning, navigating and monitoring their passage using the identical, industry-leading cartography that they have installed in their Navionics supported chart plotter.

Fugawi Marine ENC has also recently added support for Google Earth™, via a free Plug-in. The new Plug-in allows boaters to view their current GPS location on geo-referenced Google Earth images next to actual charts in split-screen mode. This combination of detailed cartography and high-resolution aerial photography provides boaters better visual awareness, enhanced charting information and added peace of mind while boating.

To ensure added safety at sea, Fugawi Marine ENC offers greatly enhanced Automatic Identification System (AIS) integration. Valuable new features include Closest Point of Approach (CPA) and Time to Closest Point of Approach (TCPA) calculation, an improved graphic display of AIS targets making it easy to determine which vessels pose a collision threat, the ability to click on a vessel for expanded AIS information and true scale vessel silhouettes. Fugawi performs dead reckoning of targets and curved course prediction based on rate of turn between active position updates.

SM Group will present the latest Fugawi Marine ENC GPS Navigation Software product, with spport for award-winning Navionics cartography as well as Google Earth at the Southampton Boat Show, September 14-23, 2007.
