FUGAWI INTRODUCES X-TRAVERSE MOBILE DATA SERVICE

Software Leader’s New Web Service Enables the Exchange of Waypoints
between iNavX Marine iPhone Software and Fugawi Marine ENC

TORONTO, Canada – Software manufacturer Northport Systems, Inc. announced today its new web-based mobile data service, Fugawi X-Traverse. Designed for marine enthusiasts who enjoy flexible charting and planning, the innovative mobile data application enables users of iNavX marine mobile software to exchange waypoints with Fugawi Marine ENC advanced navigation software for PC. X-Traverse provides seamless waypoint transfer between an iPhone or iPod Touch and a PC or Mac, and allows users to safely save, retrieve and move data without cabling between a desktop and a mobile device.

With the X-Traverse mobile application, waypoints may be transferred from iNavX to an X-Traverse web account and plotted on Google Maps or downloaded as GPX or KML files for use in a wide-variety of third party mapping software products such as MacENC, Google Earth and more. Waypoints can also be created directly in Fugawi Marine ENC and transferred to iNavX via an X-Traverse account and vice versa. Increasing Fugawi Marine ENC functionality, the new web service provides an easy-to-use and cost-effective charting software alternative to a chartplotter.

Data is transferred by SSL encryption to ensure user privacy and security.
