PC Unterminated Cable |

Most GPS receivers can be connects to the serial port on a PC through a standard 9-pin (DB9) or 25 pin connector. Unfortunately, the plugs on handheld GPS units are different for each model and you must purchase a PC cable from your GPS supplier. In most cases these cables will be complete with plugs at both ends, but some GPS units come with a cable that terminates in bare wires. In order to simplify the connection of a bare wire cable to a 9 pin serial plug, we provide a 9 pin connector attached to about 3 feet of cable, ending in 3 bare wires Instructions
are provided for connecting these three wires to the wires
coming out of the manufacturers cable. This cable is suitable
for NMEA data transfer. |
