6. Installing CHS Charts.

Question:
After installing my CHS (Canadian Hydrographic Service) Charts CD, I cannot load the CHS charts because they have not been copied to the hard drive.

Solution:
The 2007 edition CHS installation does not copy the charts to the hard drive. You may do so when installing them into Fugawi using Maps|Install Maps and Data. For Map Type, select Maptech / NDI Digital Ocean / Other BSB. Make sure you select the “Copy Maps...” option in the “Select Drives/Folder” window.

The 2008 edition CHS charts do give you the option to copy to the hard drive during installation.

Under Windows Vista, the AUTORUN gives an error. To fix this, double click on setup.exe file on the CHS installation CD (from Windows Explorer) and follow the instructions.
